Initial consultations will take about 1 hour, sometimes slightly longer. A detailed understanding of who you are, along with any complaints and how they affect you, is needed to assess your case correctly. Finding out about your general energy level, your past medical and family history are also important. Anything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence.

You will be given a homeopathic remedy, usually in the form of tablets although occasionally in liquid form. Tablets should be crunched and dissolved in the mouth, and this is best taken 10 minutes away from other food and drink. Although some homeopaths advise avoiding coffee, tea and peppermint, I have never found these to interfere with the action of good homeopathic remedies.

This depends very much on what sort of illness you have, as well as the other individual characteristics of your case. A slowly developing complaint or one that has been experienced for some years may take longer to clear, although there may be a response and improvement quite soon. Acute complaints can get better more quickly, sometimes in a matter of hours.

Follow up appointments are usually carried out monthly, and normally a short course of treatment is needed, although I always endeavour to keep the treatment length to a minimum.
